Shipping Policy

We offer a courier delivery service on all orders in the UK and Ireland*.

* Exclusions apply on some products including Wheels, Wheelchairs, Rollators and any over-sized or bulky items. These items will include a £10.00 inc VAT surcharge for delivery.

All orders are subject to a local area delivery charge as follows:

  • England, Scotland and Wales £4.99 plus VAT (Next Working Day £10.54 plus VAT)
  • Northern Ireland £4.99 plus VAT (Next Working Day £10.54 plus VAT)
  • Republic of Ireland £20.12

Deliveries to the Highlands and Islands are available but will require a separate quotation supplied by Custom Crutches.

These items will be delivered direct to you via a courier or groupage service. Larger items of equipment may be delivered on a pallet, you will then need to remove the item from its packaging and carry out any assembly of the item. We, of course can always be contacted for assistance on the phone to help you with this.

Please note this is a normally a roadside delivery service. Larger items will be delivered in a box on a pallet and the driver only delivers to the roadside, therefore you will need to be able to unpack the box or move it to your home. And you may require two people depending on the item you have bought.

We use different couriers depending on the item being delivered, these included Hermes, DPD, Royal Mail and Parcelforce. Delivery times vary by courier but most fall within a 3-5 working day timescale. Where a next day service is used, the item will be dispatched the next working day after the order has been submitted.

Please note : Delivery costs apply to products which are 1Kg – 30Kg. Those products which weigh more will be subject to a carriage quotation, which will be discussed with the customer and requirement payment before dispatch.

Custom Crutches is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to any orders made from outside the United Kingdom. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).
